I felt cheated. This wasn't about an alpha at all. It was all about the heroine. Long segments of introspection and a single line of dialogue made this a ponderous read. I kept waiting for the POV to switch and show me the unleashed alpha.

But when the power goes out in the school, everyone is yelling and screaming and freaking out in the dark.
